K-BIM is a service partner that creates 3D components for you and advises on how these components can be configured to meet your requirements. We have been working on the digital transformation in the construction industry for over 14 years and bring many years of both traditional and digital project experience.
Our most important tool is the software Autodesk Revit. We understand data integration and support you in developing a digital strategy for your products.
We create BIM content that can do exactly what is required of it. “What does this statement actually mean?” you might ask yourself. You probably know a marketing manager who wonders whether this business of digitising products makes any sense at all in the construction industry.
Imagine the following scenario: The marketing manager in a company gets this complaint from sales: the customers can’t do anything with the BIM content, the files are too big and not usable. Yet he has spent so much money on this digital BIM content.
You know the problem, don’t you?
The content should show your own product and promote it. It should contain data that is slightly different in each region of the world and available in different languages. BIM content should be parametric and offer variants and functionality. Actually, the marketing manager wanted to release more products for digitalisation, but in this desolate situation, this makes no sense. And you are surely aware of the larger context: the competition has already digitised their products and the customers now expect the same service from you, especially on the international market.
Did you know that BIM content is particularly useful in the project process when the virtual building components contain few geometric details, are parametrically structured and can be flexibly supplemented with data?
And let’s imagine the same marketing manager – but in a completely different starting position. He is thinking about which BIM content to digitise next, because it worked so well with the previous ones and the customers are enthusiastic. He gets constructive advice from the sales department on the content that has already been created. The marketing manager can concentrate on the new products and only very rarely has to resolve complaints from support.
And do you know what’s best? This idea is not just a dream. If you contact us, we will make sure that you too will enjoy this second situation.
And we would like to conclude with this thought: Digitisation is never ‘finished’ – that is in the nature of things. Digitisation needs care and tending, like a beautiful garden. Then the solutions flourish and the work becomes easy and fast.
Do you want to hire us as digital gardeners for your BIM Content, so that it thrives and grows on the market?

I attended the ‘BILT EUR RIGA 2024’ conference and was invited to take part in a panel discussion on the topic of ‘Education and training in BIM and digital planning’. The panel included distinguished representatives from the US and the UK.
It was an honour to contribute to the discussion alongside renowned industry experts. The integration of BIM and digital design has revolutionised modern construction practices. Our panel highlighted challenges and opportunities in this area and encouraged the sharing of best practice.
The discussions were enriching and provided valuable insights into the advancement of education in architecture, engineering and construction.
Our BIM products not only look good, they are also very smart and can be expanded in many ways. Thanks to the programmability of the components, many special functions of your products can be integrated into its digital twin. Optionally displayable elements? Complex dependencies for your components? No problem and we can customise them for your products!

The engineers AJG and Haushofer have reported on the benefits of BIM for the construction site of the Mainfrankentheater in Würzburg. As structural engineers, they laid the foundations for the new head-end building. This was achieved with the support of a 3D model and calculations directly from the model. The statements from Mr Haushofer and Mr Fischnaller are clear: it works better with BIM. It was exciting and very informative. Many thanks once again to the speakers and the numerous participants. The meeting took place on 18 July 2019 in Würzburg at the TGZ.
We met with contractors and product manufacturers to discuss the adaptation of BIM in construction. On Wednesday 13 March 2019 we were at the ISH in Frankfurt at the BIM@ISH stand. It became clear that we need more conversations. Conversations in which the language of users and contractors is used: clear, concise and understandable. It was good to take a few more people with us on the journey. On the way to a more efficient construction site, an increase in productivity and an understanding of how to get there. In this case, it was almost a conversation from woman to woman – a surprise, as one would have expected a male-dominated forum for the execution. So let’s do away with the clichés – let’s work together constructively here too.
On 21 November 2018, Ms Kirstin Bunsendal and Ms Gabriela Gottwald from the Bayerische BauAkademie provided information on the status of BIM in training at the cooperation forum. What is new? What is the construction industry doing? What are the framework conditions?
Participants had the opportunity to ask questions during the forum discussion. This was actively utilised and exciting discussions developed. This was certainly not the last discussion and it is very good to see how much interest there is.
You can find a detailed overview of the day at Bayern Innovativ.
In March 2018, the BIM Cluster Franconia was founded in Würzburg to promote regional networking in the construction industry in the field of BIM and to support the digital transformation. The founding meeting focussed on getting to know each other. SSI Schäfer, a company with many years of experience in digitalisation and BIM-supported planning, hosted the event on 28 June.
At the second RUG D-A-CH meeting on 7 March 2017 in Würzburg, 20 Revit and BIM users met to exchange ideas. A presentation by Angermeier Ingenieure shed light on the creation and use of point clouds in Revit. The event provided valuable insights and a lively exchange. A further meeting was held, focussing on ‘Programming in Revit with Dynamo’ and general BIM topics.
The next meeting took place on 19 September 2017 in Iphofen at Knauf. In addition to an overview of the development of Revit templates by Autodesk, presentations focussed on Hololens applications and Open BIM processes. The discussions showed the growing importance of BIM and open data standards. The exchange was intensive and the participants confirmed the need for further meetings.
